PRESS RELEASE

2025 has been a milestone year for the Life EPICS project (Electronic Products – Impacts on Circular economy and Sustainable development), co-funded by the European Union and driven by Euronics International and Members in France, Spain, Germany and Baltics. With a clear mission to reduce the environmental impact of electronics, EPICS has strengthened its role as a catalyst for circular economy practices across European retail.

11 Repair Corners Now Operating Across Europe

This year, we successfully launched 11 Repair & Reuse Corners in Euronics stores across Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Spain and France, completing more than 7,800 repairs between April and September. These dedicated spaces are more than service points; they represent a cultural shift toward repair over replace, helping customers extend the life of their devices and reduce waste.

Each corner is designed with sustainable materials and offers professional repair services for small appliances and electronics. This expansion reinforces our commitment to circularity and resource efficiency, making repair accessible and convenient for thousands of customers.

Training: Knowledge That Drives Change

Sustainability starts with education. In 2025, we completed in-person training sessions and developed three online learning modules on our Euroverse platform, covering:

• Electronic products and their environmental footprint.

• Circular economy impacts and sustainable practices.

• WEEE legislation and national directives.

So far, over 1,200 employees have participated in classroom sessions, and hundreds more have accessed the online modules. This knowledge empowers our teams to guide customers toward responsible choices and embed sustainability into everyday retail operations.

Innovation and Industry Collaboration

Beyond repair and training, EPICS is shaping the future with the development of a Sustainability Index, a tool to evaluate products based on repairability, recyclability, energy efficiency, and connectivity. This index, currently in design with partners such as APPLiA, will enter pilot phase in 2026, setting a new benchmark for sustainable product transparency.

Visibility and Impact

2025 also brought international recognition: from showcasing EPICS at IFA Berlin to sharing progress at the Annual General Meeting in Istanbul, where our leadership reaffirmed a core belief:

“Growth and sustainability are not mutually exclusive; they reinforce each other.”

What’s Next?

In 2026, we aim to accelerate training on further subjects that are useful for the store staff, accelerate the number of repairs in our network and launch the Sustainability Index pilot. Every repair, every training session, and every innovation brings us closer to a future where sustainability is not an option, it’s the standard.

Join the movement. Every step counts.
